EDMC Property Tax Online Introduction

The municipal authority is the body responsible for maintaining the basic civic service in the city. It charges property tax on houses and property, which is the main source of income for the MCD. Similarly, Municipal Corporation of Delhi is responsible for the capital of India. Individuals in Delhi are obligated to pay the taxes on land and property to the East, North and South Municipal corporation of Delhi. East Delhi Municipal Corporation is divided into two zones, Shahdara South and Shahdara North and these zones are further segregated into wards and colonies.

Steps to Pay EDMC Property Tax

Individuals can pay the property tax on the house and property either offline or online. Individuals can visit the ITZ centres in East Delhi and can pay the property tax.

The steps to pay the property tax online are mentioned below.

Step 1: Go to the official site of EDMC or you can click on http://mcdonline.gov.in/tri/edmc_mcdportal/

Step 2: Check the box for agreeing to the terms and conditions and click on ‘Click here to file property tax _____ (year)’

Step 3: Choose to enter either property ID for tax paid in 2014-15, any other years and click on ‘Submit’.

Step 4: In case you don’t have property ID, click on ‘Click here to file your return if property ID has not been allotted earlier’.

Step 5: You will be directed to a page containing property ownership details.

Step 6: Fill the property details required and automatically compute tax and click on submit.

Step 7: Pay the tax.

Step 8: Click on ‘generate challan’ and the official challan will be displayed.
