PNB Business Debit Card is a Visa card and is amongst the various customer-oriented and beneficial debit cards offered by PNB. The card can be attained from the bank through both offline and online mediums such as net banking, written application or by contacting the bank’s customer care. It can be used to withdraw cash, for balance enquires, to deposit funds and for making online and offline payments.

How does PNB Business Debit Card Works?

PNB Business Debit Card can be used both offline and online for a different purpose. For offline payments, the card can be used through a card machine. The debit card works offline as and when the merchant inputs the transaction amount on the card machine. After this, the card user is required to enter the debit card PIN to complete the transaction. As the PIN is entered, a request is made to the bank as per which the required amount is deducted from the account linked to the debit card.

In addition to that, PNB Business Debit Card also works online. This requires one to enter details like the 16 digit the card number, expiry date, and the three-digit CVV number-mentioned don the reverse of the card. As and when the details are entered, an OTP is sent to the registered mobile number of the debit card user. The OTP needs to be entered for completion of the transaction after which the amount is deducted from the linked current or savings account.

  • 2021-07-15 : OBC & UBI merged with PNB
    After the merger of OBC and UBI with PNB in April 2020, PNB has now updated the IFSC codes of all the branches of PNB and UBI. New IFSC codes have come into effect from July 1, 2021.
  • 2020-12-29 : PNB completes IT integration of all branches of two merged entities
    Punjab National Bank clarified that the customers of the former OBC Bank are now migrated to CBS of PNB wherein they can transact seamlessly via existing branches and digital banking channels like internet banking and mobile banking. The amalgamation of PNB, United Bank of India and OBC has come into effect from April 1, this year. The merger created the second-largest nationalized bank in terms of business and total branches.
  • 2020-12-01 : PNB introduced OTP based cash withdrawal from today
    PNB introduced a new facility for cash withdrawal applicable from 1 December 2020. Account-holders will require a One Time Password (OTP) for cash withdrawal of ₹10,000 and above from ATMs. Customers will first receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. Once the cardholder enters the amount they wish to withdraw, the ATM screen displays the OTP screen. The aim of this move was to add another layer of security for cash withdrawals.
  • 2020-08-17 : PNB launched campaign to promote digital banking.
