How to Submit a Complaint?

Individuals can submit the complaints through the channels mentioned above. The channels include calling the customer care executive, writing to the corporate office of the CIBIL, writing fax to the number and mailing on the provided address.

Grievance Redressal

In case the customers are not satisfied by the response received or the solution offered by the CIBIL Customer care department, they can raise the issue to the senior management using the Escalation Desk or the CIBIL Grievance Desk. There are three steps in the escalation process, and customers can only proceed with the further step if they are not content with the previous step. The first step is to escalate or raise the issue to the higher authorities of the Consumer Services Department by filling out the ‘Escalate to Level 1' form. Second step is to fill the ‘Escalate to Level 2’ Form, in such case the issue is escalated to the Vice President. If you are not satisfied then you can fill Level 3 Form which is escalated to Chief Operating Officer of CIBIL Consumer Services.

Customers can initiate a dispute online with CIBIL if there are inaccuracies, account ownership issues and duplication of information on their Credit Report. The whole process is free and straightforward. Individuals can dispute multiple entries and information on their CIBIL Report in a single dispute by navigating to different sections of the report. Individuals are required to register with the CIBIL and have access to myCIBIL.

  • Login to myCIBIL.
  • Go to the Credit Reports Section, navigate to the Dispute Center and click on ‘Dispute an Item’.

  • Choose the dispute type if you are disputing ownership and duplicate and click on ‘Submit’. If you are disputing data inaccuracies, enter the value for the disputed field and then click on ‘Submit’.
