  • 2020-03-11 : New security rules for Debit and Credit cards
    Reserve Bank of India introduced new security rules for Debit and Credit cards. It instructed banks to restrict new credit and debit card customers from performing any transactions apart from domestic transactions at ATM and PoS terminal. For other transactions such as international, online and contactless transactions, customers have to set up services on their cards.
  • 2020-02-24 : SBI and Landmark group launched co-branded credit cards
    State Bank of India and hospitality conglomerate Landmark Group launched co-branded credit cards. The venture launched Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card, Max SBI Card and Spar SBI Cards. These cards will provide one-stop payment solution across categories such as fashion, home furnishing, furniture and grocery. The cards are introduced to ease the payment process for users.
  • 2019-12-24 : SBI customers can now shop from SBI Card App
    Through the new SBI Card App you can make the payment just by opening the app near the POS (point of sale) terminal. In its constant effort to make digital payments a lot safer for its customers, this new step provides greater payment security by safeguarding from card cloning, skimming, etc.
  • 2019-09-03 : SBI cards plan to issue Rupay credit cards to its users
