  • Click on the option, 'Cards' and choose 'Credit Cards’ from the drop-down menu.
  • Proceed by looking out for the option, 'Requests' and select 'Instant PIN Generation'.
  • As you click on this option, a number of cards are displayed, select your credit card type and click on 'Continue'.
  • Thereby, enter the four or six-digit credit card PIN as per your choice.
  • For verification, re-enter the PIN and click on 'Continue'.
  • To confirm your request for PIN generation, click on 'Confirm'.
  • To receive an OTP, click on 'Continue' and enter or select your mobile number.
  • Lastly, enter the OTP received to activate your SBI credit card PIN.

The steps mentioned above can be followed only when one has an activated net banking account with SBI. However, in case you do not have opted SBI net banking facility, you can either register yourself for SBI internet banking or can use the below-mentioned process of generating the SBI credit card PIN by ATM.

Generate SBI Credit Card PIN by ATM

You can also generate your SBI credit card PIN through an offline procedure, that is by visiting the SBI ATM. However, ensure that the linked mobile number is functioning to receive an OTP. On receiving the OTP, follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • On visiting the SBI ATM, place your SBI credit card in the ATM and choose your prefered language.
  • As you place your card, many options appear on the screen, amongst them choose the option, 'Create new ATM PIN using OTP'.
  • Proceed by entering OTP received on your linked mobile number.
  • In the next screen, enter the mobile number for cross verification
  • Post verification enter a 4-digit PIN of your choice to be used as the SBI credit card PIN.
  • To confirm the PIN retype it and click on 'Submit'.
  • On successful activation of the PIN, an SMS update is sent to the linked mobile number.

How to change your SBI Credit Card PIN

SBI credit card PIN is accompanied by a temporary physical PIN. It is advisable to change the PIN for safety purposes. In addition to that, the need for changing the SBI credit card PIN may also emerge when one forgets the PIN or wants to update it.   • Visit the net banking portal and login to your SBI net banking account.
  • On the portal, click on 'Cards' and choose the option, ‘Credit Card'.
  • Under this head, Select 'Credit card options' and go to 'Change PIN'.
  • As you choose this option SBI will then send an OTP to your linked mobile number.
  • Proceed by entering the OTP and select 'Continue'.
  • Now, enter a new 4-digit PIN as per your choice and re-enter the same.
  • Finally, click on submit to change your PIN.

Change SBI Credit Card PIN at an ATM

To change the SBI credit card PIN via SBI ATM, follow the below mentioned steps:

  • On visiting the SBI ATM, place your SBI credit card in the ATM and choose your prefered language.
  • On the machine, enter your existing credit card PIN.
  • Thereby click on 'Change PIN'.
  • As and when you choose this option, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP and the new 4-digit PIN of your choice
  • Re-type the same PIN and click on 'Submit'.

Change SBI Credit Card PIN by SMS

To change the SBI credit card PIN via SMS facility, send an SMS to 567676 from your registered mobile number. Ensure sending the SMS in the format CCPIN XXXX', here, XXXX is the last four digits of your credit card number.

While generating or activating the SBI credit card PIN is an easy and hassle-free process, yet it must be ensured at all points that safety of the card is kept in order. For these ensure the below mentioned:

  • Do not share the credit card password, the credit card PIN and the OTP with anybody else.
