Objectives of Saksham Yuva Yojana

Saksham Yuva is a scheme launched by the State Government of Haryana to uplift and provide job opportunities to the unemployed but educated youth. The scheme has helped youth in meeting their financial needs. The primary objectives of the Saksham Yuva Yojana are listed below:

  • Saksham Yojna aims to develop employment opportunities for the young generation and aids them in providing placements in varied departments of the State Government of Haryana.
  • Providing Unemployment Allowance and Honorarium to the eligible individuals.
  • Saksham Haryana enables the eligible youth to choose the skill they want to develop. It offers relevant training to the individuals to empower them to get employment or start their venture in whichever sector they desire.

What are the Components of Saksham Yuva Yojana?

Mentioned below are the two main components of the Saksham Yuva Scheme you must know if you are already enrolled and planning to apply for it.

Monthly allowance of upto ₹ 3,000 is offered to the unemployed youth.

  • To matriculate qualified applicants, ₹ 100 is offered per month.
  • 10+2 equivalent eligible students, ₹ 900 is offered per month.
  • ₹ 1,500 per month is offered to the graduates or the equivalent.
  • ₹ 3,000 per month to postgraduates and equivalents.

Monthly Honorarium up to ₹ 6,000 per month is offered for a maximum of 100 hours of honorary assignment in a month. It is available under the various Departments/Boards/ Corporations/Registered Societies, solely registered under Haryana Government and private companies/enterprises.

Eligibility Criteria for Saksham Yuva Scheme

There are different eligibility criteria for the two-component under the Saksham Yuva Scheme. The detail criterion for both the component is mentioned below:

For Monthly Unemployed Allowance

  • The applicant must be a domicile of Haryana.
  • Age must be between 21 to 35 years.
  • Should have completed:
    10+2 or a Two-year certificate/diploma course passed after Matric from any Board/University recognised by Haryana Government
    Graduation from a University recognised by Haryana Government
    Post-graduation from a University recognised by the Haryana Government
  • The yearly family income should not exceed ₹ 3 Lakh from all income sources.
  • Ensure being registered under the Live Register of Employment Exchange (any) in the State for a minimum period of three years as of 1st November of the year.
  • If you are an employee dismissed from any Government service, you are not eligible for this scheme.
  • You should not be employed in any sector- public/private sector/quasi-government or self-employed.

For Honorarium

  • You should have completed 10+2 or graduation or post-graduation.
  • You must have completed 10+2 as a regular student.
  • Should have completed the Post-graduation degree through regular courses from Punjabi University, Patiala and any recognised Universities in Union territory Chandigarh or NCT Delhi or Haryana.
  • Age must be between 18 to 35 years for 10+2 and 21 to 35 years for graduate/post-graduate.
  • Should not be employed in public/private/quasi-government/self-employment.
  • Should be a domicile of Haryana.
  • Registered under the Live Register of the concerned Employment Exchange.
  • Yearly family income should not exceed ₹ 3 Lakh from all sources.
