Syndicate Bank replaced this traditional method with a new one known as Green PIN, which has made the PIN generation process or changing the existing PIN more convenient and straightforward for the customers. Syndicate provides the customers with a facility to generate the Syndicate PIN on their own within minutes. There are simpler and convenient processes to create the PIN using the ATM, internet banking, sending SMS and calling the Syndicate Bank customer care.

How to generate Syndicate Debit Card PIN at Syndicate ATM?

Individuals can change and generate the Syndicate Debit card PIN by visiting the nearest Syndicate ATMs. the process for generating the PIN is as follow:

  • Visit the nearest Syndicate ATM and Insert the debit card in the ATM
  • Select 'PIN Generation' option
  • You will be required to enter your 11-digit account number. Enter the same and click 'Confirm'.
  • Then enter the registered mobile number, and press 'Confirm'.
  • Then the screen will display 'Your green PIN will be shortly delivered to your registered mobile number'.
  • Press 'Confirm' to see another message 'Your Green PIN generation has been successful, and you will receive the same on your mobile number'.
  • You will then receive a message on your number with OTP or the green PIN.
  • Within 2 days, you are required to visit any Syndicate ATM and select the 'Banking>PIN Change' option and enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number when the ATM asks to enter the Syndicate ATM PIN. Then, change the Syndicate ATM PIN.

Syndicate PIN Generation by SMS

Account-holders are also provided with an option to change the Green PIN by sending the message from the registered mobile number.

  • Send an SMS using your registered mobile number in the format PIN ABCD EFGH.
  • Here, ABCD means the last four digits of the Syndicate ATM card while EFGH means the last four digits of Syndicate Account Number.
  • Once the SMS is sent, you will receive a One Time Password to the registered number. The OTP will be valid for two days and should be used to generate debit card PIN by visiting nearest Syndicate ATMs.

Syndicate ATM PIN by Calling Syndicate Customer Care

Customers can also generate an ATM PIN by calling Syndicate customer care. Steps are as follows:

  • Using the registered number, Call Syndicate toll free customer care.
  • Select the preferred language and follow the instructions and select the 'ATM and Prepaid Card Services' option.
  • Select the option to generate Green PIN.
  • You will be required to enter your debit card number. Enter the same and confirm.
  • You will be required to enter the account number linked to the debit card, enter the same and confirm
  • Once you confirm all the details, you will receive an SMS with OTP in your registered number which will be valid for two days, during which you can visit the nearest Syndicate ATMs to generate your debit card PIN.

Syndicate ATM Card PIN Generation Online using Internet Banking

Steps for generating the Syndicate PIN online using internet banking are as follow:

  • Log in to your net banking using the credentials.
  • From the main menu, select the option of Card Pin.
  • Click on Generate PIN on Debit Card PIN section.
  • Select the debit card and enter your 16 digit number with CVV code,
  • Enter the grid number printed at the back of the card and Generate OTP.
  • Enter the 4 digit OTP you received on your registered mobile number and Submit.
  • Type the new PIN. You will receive confirmation of PIN generation on the display of net banking, on your registered mobile number and your registered email ID.

  • 2021-07-15 : Syndicate Bank merged with Canara Bank - IFSC and SWIFT code changed
    After the merger of Syndicate and Canara Bank, the IFSC codes for erstwhile Syndicate Bank customers will be changed from July 1 this year. Existing Syndicate Bank customers will have to use their new IFSC codes for online transactions through NEFT, RTGS or IMPS routes.
  • 2021-07-01 : Change in IFSC code of Syndicate Bank
    Since Syndicate Bank has merged with Canara Bank, the IFSC code and the cheque book of Syndicate will become invalid from July 1. Likewise, the customers of the bank had been asked to update the IFSC code latest by June 30.
