  • Press 'Confirm' to see another message 'Your Green PIN generation has been successful, and you will receive the same on your mobile number'.
  • You will then receive a message on your number with OTP or the green PIN.
  • Within 2 days, you are required to visit any Indian Bank ATM and select the 'Banking>PIN Change' option and enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number when the ATM asks to enter the Indian Bank ATM PIN. Then, change the Indian Bank ATM PIN.

Indian Bank PIN Generation by SMS

Account-holders are also provided with an option to change the Green PIN by sending the message from the registered mobile number.

  • Send an SMS using your registered mobile number in the format PIN ABCD EFGH.
  • Here, ABCD means the last four digits of the Indian Bank ATM card while EFGH means the last four digits of Indian Bank Account Number.
  • Once the SMS is sent, you will receive a One Time Password to the registered number. The OTP will be valid for two days and should be used to generate debit card PIN by visiting nearest Indian Bank ATMs.

  • You will be required to enter your debit card number. Enter the same and confirm.
  • You will be required to enter the account number linked to the debit card, enter the same and confirm
  • Once you confirm all the details, you will receive an SMS with OTP in your registered number which will be valid for two days, during which you can visit the nearest Indian Bank ATMs to generate your debit card PIN.

Steps for generating the Indian Bank PIN online using internet banking are as follow:

  • Log in to your net banking using the credentials.
  • From the main menu, select the option of Card Pin.
  • Click on Generate PIN on Debit Card PIN section.
  • Select the debit card and enter your 16 digit number with CVV code,
  • Enter the grid number printed at the back of the card and Generate OTP.
  • Enter the 4 digit OTP you received on your registered mobile number and Submit.
  • Type the new PIN. You will receive confirmation of PIN generation on the display of net banking, on your registered mobile number and your registered email ID.

  • 2021-06-01 : Indian Bank reported a Q4 profit of 1,709-cr
    Indian Bank reported a net profit of Rs 1,708.85 crore in the March-ended quarter. Total income during the January-March quarter of 2020-21 increased to Rs 10,647.87 crore. It was Rs 6,334.37 crore in the same period of 2019-20. The net profit of the bank backed by retail loan like home, LAP, personal, two-wheeler, car education and doctor loan along business and mudra loan was recorded at Rs 3,004.68 crore.
  • 2019-11-05 : Indian Bank revises interest rates on savings deposits
    Indian Bank revised its interest rates on savings bank account from November 1, 2019. For deposits up to Rs 50 lakhs applicable interest rate is 3.50%, and for deposits above Rs 50 lakhs, the new interest is 3.75%. The interest, however, would be credited to the savings bank account on a quarterly basis.
