  • Firstly, visit the nearest PDS (Public Distribution Centre) or Ration Shop. You need to carry all the essential documents including photocopies of your Ration Card, copies of Aadhaar Card of all your family members and a passport size photograph of the head of the family.
  • If your bank account is not linked with Aadhaar, you also need to submit a copy of your bank passbook.
  • The authority at the PDS or ration shop will ask for fingerprint authentication in case of first-time Aadhaar authentication.
  • Finally, submit all these documents mentioned above along with a copy of your Aadhaar.
  • On providing the required documents, you will receive an SMS notification on your registered mobile number, and you receive another update as the Aadhar and Ration card is successfully linked.

  • 2021-07-02 : Change in DoB, Mobile No, Address on Aadhaar on your own
    UIDAI has introduced a new update to its official portal. This new update allows those who have moved to a new residential address to change the said address on their current Aadhaar identification by themselves. Through the self-service portal on the Aadhaar website, users can update these details among others.
  • 2021-07-02 : Only PAN card and Aadhaar required for MSME registration
    The government has simplified the registration process for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and they will now only need to furnish PAN and Aadhaar to register. Union Minister for MSMEs informed that after getting registered, the MSME units will be getting priority and finance. He also underlined the need for imparting training to small units in the field of entrepreneurship and assured full support to the sector.

    UIDAI clarified that for any covid-related service, having an Aadhar card is not mandatory. If in case anyone is denied service just because of not having an Aadhar card, the issue must be raised to the concerned authorities.
